New York Yankees right fielder Ichiro Suzuki got a nice ovation from Seattle Mariners fans when he approached the plate for his first at-bat as a Yankee after being traded from Seattle on Monday. Mariners pitcher Kevin Millwood stepped off the mound and gave Ichiro a little extra time so that he could acknowledge the crowd in what was a really nice moment.
Appropriately enough, Ichiro hit a single on the second pitch of his at-bat.
It was Ichiro's only hit of the game in the Yankees' 4-1 victory.
