The new head coach of the Illinois football team, Tim Beckman, conducted the seventh-inning stretch at Wrigley Field during Saturday's Chicago Cubs game against the St. Louis Cardinals by leading the crowd as he sang "Take Me Out to the Ball Game".
Although Beckman's performance was a bit off-key, he finished strong, and we appreciated Beckman's enthusiasm, unlike a recent performance by Jay Cutler.
Beckman and the entire Illinois football coaching staff were in attendance as part of Saturday's Illini Day festivities at Wrigley Field.
