One of the newest members of the Minnesota Wild, Zach Parise, was invited to throw out the ceremonial first pitch before Sunday's Minnesota Twins game against the Oakland A's.
Parise made a nice throw to first baseman Justin Morneau, who lined up as catcher behind the plate for the first pitch.
Parise gave an interview to FOX Sports North during the top of the second inning, and he talked about being a Twins fan as he grew up in Minnesota. Twins manager Ron Gardenhire and catcher Joe Mauer actually made videos to recruit Parise to play for the Wild, and before the game, Gardenhire made good on his commitment to give Parise 5 bucks if he signed with the Wild.
All in all, a nice day at the ballpark for Zach Parise.
