A fan in the front row of the first base stands at Yankee Stadium took a tumble over the railing while trying to grab a foul ball hit by New York Yankees center fielder Curtis Granderson during Friday night's game against the Seattle Mariners.
It happened in the bottom of the first inning as Granderson led off for the Yankees and hit a foul grounder down the first base side. The fan failed miserably as he fell head over heels onto the field, ripping the protective padding off of the railing in the process, all while his friend laughed at him hysterically.
It's not clear if the fan got ejected, which is the typical punishment for fans who enter the field of play. That would have been terrible for him, as not only would he have missed most of the game, but he probably paid a lot of money for those seats.
