Chicago White Sox third baseman Kevin Youkilis was accidentally hit in the eye as teammate Alejandro De Aza tried to high-five him during Saturday night's MLB game against the Oakland A's.
It happened in the bottom of the fifth inning after Youkilis hit a home run with De Aza on base. As they returned to the White Sox dugout, De Aza was giving high-fives to teammates, but wasn't paying enough attention to see who was waiting to receive them. Youkilis didn't have his hand up, but got "rewarded" for his home run by De Aza with the thumb in the eye.
Youkilis was able to stay in the game and actually hit a single in his next at-bat.
