NFL replacement referee Craig Ochoa announced to the crowd that "Arizona will be not charged with a timeout" during a preseason game Thursday. The only problem: the two teams playing in the game were the Atlanta Falcons and the Baltimore Ravens.
It happened in the first quarter in Atlanta after Ochoa reviewed a replay and confirmed the ruling on the field that a Ravens receiver had a foot out of bounds when making a catch.
Technically, what Ochoa said was true, as I would hope the Arizona Cardinals will be able to keep its three timeouts going into Friday night's game against the Kansas City Chiefs. However, if Ochoa wants to be taken seriously, he can't make mistakes like using the wrong name to refer to a team.
