New York Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano hit a foul ball into the Yankees radio broadcast booth that knocked over the microphone of Yankees play-by-play man John Sterling as he was calling Monday's game at Tropicana Field against the Tampa Bay Rays.
It happened in the top of the fifth inning as Cano hit a 3-1 pitch foul behind home plate, and WCBS radio listeners could hear the sound of the ball hitting Sterling's microphone.
Sterling showed his versatility as he got the microphone back on his desk and grabbed the baseball, and he was ready to call the next pitch without missing a beat. Very smooth.
