Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger hit an NFL referee in the head with an errant pass during the final minute of the second quarter of Sunday's NFL game against the Washington Redskins.
Announcers joked that the rugby-style striped throwback uniforms that the Steelers were wearing Sunday may have confused Roethlisberger into thinking he was throwing the football to a teammate. However, this play was an anomaly as Roethlisberger managed to have a good game overall, with 222 yards and three touchdown passes in a 27-12 victory.
