Detroit Tigers relief pitcher Jose Valverde entered Saturday night's ALDS Game 1 against the Oakland A's with a unique entrance routine where he spits water in three directions and takes a big hop onto the field.
The routine clearly works for him, as Valverde pitched a perfect ninth inning for the save to close out the Tigers' 3-1 victory over the A's.
