The ESPN College GameDay crew was on location at the University of Oregon Saturday, and analyst Lee Corso picked Oregon to defeat Stanford in Saturday's game. Corso put on the head of the Oregon Duck mascot costume, as he traditionally does with the school of the team he picks. but then tried to take things to the next level when he was handed a live duck.
In hindsight, that may not have been such a good idea.
It was to be expected that Corso might have some trouble handling the duck and that would probably be played for laughs for the viewing audience. However, disaster nearly struck right before ESPN cut away for the 12:00 game as Corso's hand accidentally grabbed the duck's neck. The "look" of panic on the face of the real Oregon Duck says it all.
