Friday night's Carrier Classic college basketball matchup that was to take place between the Marquette Golden Eagles and Ohio State Buckeyes aboard the USS Yorktown in Mount Pleasant, S.C., was cancelled due to condensation on the court.
After the game was called off, Marquette forward Steve Taylor Jr. demonstrated why the game could not be played by jogging a few steps and sliding on the slick court surface about five feet.
Obviously the cancellation was a disappointment for the players, but clearly the right thing to do under the circumstances.
