On Saturday, The Boston Red Sox will begin selling tickets for the upcoming baseball season. To promote the occasion while also wishing Happy Holidays to their fans, the Red Sox made a commercial featuring Fenway Park decorated in holiday lights.
The commercial was inspired by a scene from National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and features Wally the Green Monster mascot turning on the lights at Fenway with new manager John Farrell and some "behind-the-scenes" help from slugger David Ortiz. The lights can be seen at Fenway this Friday night when the Red Sox hold the Fenway Park Holiday Fest, featuring the debut of the Winter Light Show.
Farrell is probably correct when he says "Things are looking brighter already", because, honestly, things couldn't possible get any worse than they did last season.
