New York Knicks superstar Carmelo Anthony had the fans at Madison Square Garden chanting "MVP" as he scored 22 of the team's 41 points in the first quarter of Thursday night's 116-107 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers.
Carmelo was red-hot, making 8 of his 9 first quarter shots, including three 3-pointers in the first three minutes of the game. The NBA was nice enough to put together a video to show you all of them:
Carmelo unfortunately had to leave the game in the third quarter with a sprained left ankle, but finished the game with 30 points to lead the Knicks in scoring.
