A huge bench-clearing brawl broke out Saturday night in an AHL minor league hockey matchup between the Grand Rapids Griffins at Rockford IceHogs Saturday. This may be the biggest brawl in hockey history featuring pink jerseys, as the hometown IceHogs were wearing them on "Pink in the Rink" night to raise money for breast cancer research.
The huge brawl between the Griffins (affiliate of the NHL's Detroit Red Wings) and the IceHogs (affiliate of the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks) resulted in 13 game misconducts and 230 penalty minutes. In the end, the Griffins won 11-6.
