ESPN college basketball analyst Bob Knight had an awkward moment on live TV when he seemed to be confused by the shot clock and game clock during a review of a controversial non-call by officials during the final moments of Thursday night's game between the Kentucky Wildcats and Vanderbilt Commodores.
Rece Davis and Knight was reviewing a replay of a Kentucky basket by Nerlens Noel with 17.3 seconds left in the game that should not have counted, as the shot clock reached zero before the ball left Noel's hands. Knight seemingly became confused between the shot clock and game clock, saying "That 17.3 was up there and the zero was on the bottom. I don't know what that meant."
Knight's gaffe seemed to overshadow the fact that the controversial basket made the difference in the game as Kentucky got the victory over Vandy 60-58.
