New England Patriots receiver Brandon Lloyd was given an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for tossing the ball too hard at the official during the second quarter of Sunday's NFL playoff game at Gillette Stadium against the Houston Texans.
After a short pass from quarterback Tom Brady to Lloyd fell incomplete, Lloyd was a bit too aggressive as he tossed the football to the nearby official. The official threw the penalty flag after the ball bounced off his shoulder.
Whether the penalty was deserved is debatable, the official would be in the best position to determine how painful the impact was after being hit with the ball.
H/T Cosby.
