CBS NFL analyst Phil Simms had some trouble with his math skills during the closing moments of Sunday's AFC divisional playoff game between the New England Patriots and Houston Texans.
With the Patriots leading the Texans 41-28, the Texans had the ball at the Patriots 41 yard line with 30 seconds left. What did Simms think the Texans should do?

You know what you do, maybe get one more completion...get out of bounds, spike the ball, whatever, and try a long field goal to give yourself a chance maybe to throw one in the end zone if you recover and on side kick.Fortunately for the viewers, fellow CBS analyst Jim Nantz immediately found the big gaping hole in Simms' logic. A field goal and a touchdown would only give the Texans 10 points, and they were losing by 13. Get with the program, Phil.
