Michigan State Spartans senior center Derrick Nix crushed two cheerleaders while hustling to save a loose ball near the baseline in the first half of Wednesday night's Big Ten college basketball game against Minnesota.
The MSU cheerleaders were sitting on the floor behind the baseline in front of the stands. Nix was able to save the loose ball by knocking it to a teammate in bounds, but he lost his balance and his momentum took him towards the cheerleaders, who had no chance to get out of the way. However, the cheerleaders reportedly came away from the accident just fine.
Nix scored 6 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in Michigan State's 61-50 win.
