In Friday night KHL playoff action, Neftekhimik goaltender Matt Dalton was ejected for slashing Ak Bars Kazan forward Alexei Tereshchenko in the groin.
It happened in the second period while the game was scoreless. Tereshchenko positioned himself right in front of Dalton on a power play when Dalton slipped his stick between Tereshchenko's legs and nailed him in the groin, then pushed him down to the ice as he coiled up in pain. Dalton was given a five minute major for slashing and a game misconduct.
In the end, Ak Bars won the game 3-0 to take a 2-0
