Padraig Harrington kicks American football into crowd at Waste Management Open (Video)

Pro golfer Padraig Harrington had some fun as he kicked some footballs into the crowd as he prepared for the 16th hole during Saturday's third round of the Waste Management Open golf tournament in Phoenix.

One of Harrington's sponsors is Wilson, the company that also happens to make NFL footballs for the Super Bowl, so it seemed appropriate for Harrington to get some kicks in during Super Bowl weekend. Harrington had never kicked or thrown an American football in his life, but his field goal kicks were pretty good, and the crowd certainly approved.

More importantly, Harrington shot an 8-under 63 on Saturday to put him tied for third overall for the tournament heading into the final round.
