Independiente Limeira defender Johnny dos Santos karate kicked referee Mauricio Antonio Fioretti immediately after his team's 1-0 loss to Marilia in a Paulista A3 soccer match from Brazil last Saturday night.
Dos Santos was apparently upset that only four minutes of stoppage time were added to the end of the second half and his team was not able to score an equalizer. Once the game was over, Dos Santos jogged over to Fioretti and delivered the kick to Fioretti's shoulder and arm. Dos Santos had to be removed from the pitch by police. We expect that news of a suspension of some sort for Dos Santos will be forthcoming.
