Buffalo Sabres forward Patrick Kaleta will likely be facing a suspension for checking New York Rangers center Brad Richards into the boards from behind during the third period of Sunday's game at Madison Square Garden.
Kaleta was given a five-minute major penalty for checking from behind and a ten minute game misconduct on the play. Richards left the game briefly but did return.
The Rangers scored two goals on the ensuing power play on the way to a 3-2 shootout victory.
