Washington Nationals relief pitcher Ryan Mattheus created a unique rally cap in the bullpen during Wednesday's afternoon game against the St. Louis Cardinals.
The Nationals were down early as the Cards scored three runs in the first inning. Mattheus created his unique look by flipping his cap inside out and attaching Gatorade cups to his ears in the middle of a sixth inning rally attempt.
Mattheus' efforts did seem to work, as Bryce Harper was able to drive in a run in the sixth. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to bring the Nats all the way back, as they lost to the Cardinals 4-2.
H/T Extra Mustard.
