Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand threw a water bottle on the ice before the overtime faceoff during Monday night's Game 7 at the TD Garden against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Bruins coach Claude Julien didn't like the way his players were lined up for the faceoff, but couldn't get the attention of his players, so Marchand tossed the water bottle onto the ice to force the officials to blow the whistle and have his teammates reset. Marchand was not assessed with a delay of game penalty.
