NBA superstar LeBron James makes a $16 million a year salary with the Miami Heat, and makes millions of dollars from endorsement deals. However, it could be argued despite all this money, LeBron is still well underpaid.
Nothing proves that point better than this infographic (provided by CableTV.com) which details the increase in franchise value for the Miami Heat just one season after LeBron joined the team, combined with thedecrease in franchise value for the Cleveland Cavaliers a year after LeBron left. When you combine that with the corresponding changes in TV ratings, attendance and ticket sales for these two teams, it's clear to see that LeBron James could be paid a lot more and still be underpaid.
