Bus gets stuck at Tour de France finish line (Video)

Chaos broke out during Saturday's opening stage of the 2013 Tour de France when a team bus got stuck underneath the gantry at at the finish line, leading to a mad scramble for Tour organizers to move the bus before the lead pack of cyclists reached the finish.

Buses are allowed to drive through the finish line according to Tour regulations. However, it became painfully apparent that the gantry for Stage 1 was not placed high enough as the top of the ORICA GreenEdge Cycling team bus crashed into the gantry. The finish line gantry was bent and the bus AC system was punctured in the collision.

Tour organizers had only 20 minutes to move the bus before the lead pack of riders were projected to cross the finish, but managed to deflating the tires of the bus and move it out of the way in time. Hopefully the remaining stages of the Tour de France will run a little more smoothly.
