Oakland A's center fielder Coco Crisp took a called strike in his third inning at-bat during Sunday's game as he was distracted by a bird who flew a bit too close to home plate.
The bird flew through at shoulder level no more than 10 feet in front of Crisp, and as Chicago White Sox pitcher Chris Sale had already started his throwing motion on a 1-1 pitch, Crisp didn't even have a chance to call time out. You certainly don't see that every day.
