San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick brought the heat with the ceremonial first pitch at Friday night's San Francisco Giants game at AT&T Park.
Kaepernick blew the pitch by Giants closer Sergio Romo, who sat behind the plate to catch the pitch but clearly wasn't prepared for a pitch that fast. Kaepernick's pitch was clocked at 87 miles per hour - not too shabby, even by major league standards.

According to Yahoo! Sports, Kaepernick was drafted by the Chicago Cubs back in 2009. However, Kaepernick chose to pursue football instead, and that decision seems to be working out pretty well so far.
