During Sunday's NHL draft, the New Jersey Devils goaltender allowed Martin Brodeur to announce their seventh round selection (208th overall), which just happened to be his son, Anthony Brodeur.
The Devils originally did not have any picks scheduled in the seventh round of the draft, but worked a trade with the Los Angeles Kings to get back into the seventh round for their final pick.
It was obviously a proud moment for Martin to see his son Anthony selected in the NHL draft, but to be able to make the announcement himself made things extra special for both of them.
