Peru futbol player suspended for laying out opponent with flying kick (Video)

In a second division futbol match from Peru last weekend, a player received a red card just 13 minutes into a match after delivering a brutal flying kick to his opponent's head.

Alianza Universidad center-forward Smith got a running start and laid out the opposing Deportivo Municipal player by kicking him right in the face. You don't need to speak the same language to know that when you hear a sportscaster yell "BOOM!" to describe two players colliding, that can't be a good thing.

Smith was ejected from the match instantly, and has been further punished with a 14 match suspension.
