A Houston Astros fan caught a foul ball with his bare hands, and saved his girlfriend from being hit in the process, during Friday night's game at Minute Maid Park.
It happened in the top of the sixth inning as Seattle Mariners batter Nick Franklin hit the fly ball foul into the stands near the right field corner. While the girlfriend ducked for cover, the Astros fan stood his ground and made a solid catch, with no glove needed.
Far too often we've seen boyfriends step away from a fly ball and leave their girlfriends to fend for themselves, which usually leads to disaster. Kudos to this Astros fan for protecting his girlfriend, as he has set an example that we should all try to live up to.
