The Chicago Cubs TV broadcast team used some impressive creativity when a power outage caused viewers to miss a home run hit by right fielder Nick Schierholtz in the fourth inning of Friday's game at Wrigley Field.
Since there was no video replay of the Schierholtz HR available, the broadcasters recreated the moment for viewers at home with an artist rendering involving stick figures.
The drawing was not without its flaws, as Schierholtz was drawn as a right-handed batter when he actually bats left-handed. However, given the circumstances, the Cubs broadcast team was willing to take what they could get.
