New York Yankees right fielder Ichiro Suzuki collected the 4,000th career hit of his professional baseball career with a single in the first inning of Wednesday night's game in the Bronx. Ichiro became only the third player in baseball history to achieve the milestone.
In a touching moment, the Yankees came out from the dugout to meet Ichiro at first base and congratulate him with hugs and handshakes, while the Yankee Stadium crowd gave Ichiro a well-deserved standing ovation.
