Minnesota Twins left fielder Darin Mastroianni broke his belt with a leaping catch, but was conveniently able to swap it out with a teammate in the bullpen, during Tuesday night's game in Houston.
It happened in the bottom of the fourth inning as Astros batter Jose Altuve hit a hard fly ball to left. Mastroianni was able to track it down and leap to make a great catch, then lost his balance and did a faceplant on the warning track right in front of the Twins bullpen. Mastroianni was able to hold onto the ball for the out, but was a bit disheveled as his shirt became untucked and his belt buckle broke. However, one of the pitchers in the bullpen offered to give Mastroianni his belt and was able to swap it with him through the fence. Talk about being in the right place at the right time.
