The Jacksonville Jaguars mascot, Jaxson DeVille, is not only enduring the emotional torture of the team's losses, but is also enduring physical torture as well, thanks to his overzealous gambling ways.
Jaxson DeVille made a straight-up bet with the Indianapolis Colts mascot over who would win Sunday's head-to-head matchup between the teams. The loser would get shot with paintballs from 10 yards away, with the number of paintballs determined by the total number of points in the game.
Not surprisingly, the Jags lost by a final score of 37-3, leaving DeVille with the painful proposition of being pelted with 40 paintballs. However, being a stand-up cat that he is, DeVille followed through and took it for the team.
DeVille may want to stop making bets for a while, until the Jags show some signs of life.
