Colorado Avalanche right winger Steve Downie laid out Nashville Predators defenseman Roman Josi with a huge flying hit during the second period of Friday night's game at the Pepsi Center.
Downie was penalized two minutes for charging, and Predators defenseman Shea Weber, who jumped Downie to stick up for Josi, was penalized for roughing. Josi was OK after the hit. The Avs won the game 3-1.
