Washington Capitals defenseman Mike Green went flying headfirst into the Capitals bench after missing the check on his intended target during the first period of Monday night's game against the Edmonton Oilers.
Green skated full speed towards Oilers forward Jesse Joensuu against the boards, but Joensuu sidestepped the check attempt, causing Green to fly head over heels into the bench.
Green appeared to be fine afterwards, aside from his bruised ego.
