Golfing legend Jack Nicklaus was given the honor of performing the ceremonial puck drop at Friday night's NHL season opener for the Columbus Blue Jackets.
"The Golden Bear" was in town for the 2013 President's Cup golf tournament, which is being held at the Murfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio, on a course that Nicklaus himself designed. Nicklaus wore a custom Blue Jackets jersey with the number 18, a reference to the number of major tournament titles that Nicklaus won in his career.
The Blue Jackets fans gave Nicklaus a nice round of applause.
