Scott Van Slyke wins standoff against Joe Kelly before NLCS Game 6 (Video)

Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Scott Van Slyke won a friendly staredown against St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Joe Kelly prior to Friday night's Game 6 of the National League Championship Series.

After the National Anthem was played, Van Slyke and Kelly remained in their places outside of their respective dugouts and continued standing as the Cardinals ran onto the field to start the game. They fought for their claim to "last man standing" until home plate umpire Greg Gibson finally got fed up and told them to move. Kelly took two steps towards the dugout, allowing Van Slyke to win the hard-fought standoff.

This was pretty fun to watch, and hopefully more teams will do this kind of thing in MLB next year.
