Brooklyn Nets backup center Andray Blatche was fined $15,000 by the NBA for making an obscene gesture on the bench during the fourth quarter of Friday night's win over the Miami Heat.
It happened when Joe Johnson hit a 3-pointer with 2:47 remaining in the fourth to give the Nets a 96-84 lead. At that point Blatche, who was watching from the bench, made the gesture intended to compliment Johnson's big, um, strong nerves.
WARNING: Inappropriate gesture appears at the 14 second mark and may not be suitable for younger viewers.
Ironically, after Johnson's basket, the Heat scored 10 straight points to cut the lead to two, but the Nets hung on for the 101-100 victory.
