Houston Rockets center Dwight Howard was a hacking victim of Los Angeles Lakers defenders who repeatedly sent him to the free throw line with deliberate fouls during the fourth quarter of Thursday night's game.
Howard made his best effort to run away from his former teammates, almost like someone playing a game of tag rather than basketball. Howard's efforts were unsuccessful, however, as the Lakers sent him to the line six times in the final 3:24 of the game.
The Lakers strategy ultimately worked, as Howard went 5-12 in those final minutes (finishing 5-16 overall from the stripe). Meanwhile, the Lakers stayed close and ultimately sank a last-second three-pointer to win the game 99-98.
