The Reading Royals, the proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Washington Capitals, will be getting into the holiday spirit by wearing "ugly Christmas sweater" jerseys for their December 14th home game against Elmira. Here's a photo of what the jerseys will look like, courtesy of Puck Daddy:
Looking forward to seeing what the real ones will look like out on the ice.
If that's not good enough reason to check out the game on December 14th, the Royals will also be holding their annual Teddy Bear Toss. All bears thrown onto the ice after the Royals score their first goal will be collected and donated to Toys for Tots, so it's nice to see them contribute to a good cause.
