New Orleans Saints tight end Jimmy Graham may be outlawed from doing any more goalpost slam dunk celebrations after bending one in Atlanta after scoring in Thursday night's game.
It happened after Graham caught a 44-yard touchdown pass from Drew Brees. Graham leaped and threw the football over the crossbar, like he usually does after TDs, but this time around he hung onto the crossbar for a brief moment to rebalance himself before dropping to the ground. Apparently that was all it took to shift the entire off kilter.
The game was delayed a few minutes while the goalpost was fixed, as obviously the extra point could not be attempted until the goalpost was straightened out:
Graham led the Saints with 100 yards receiving on 5 catches as the Saints defeated the Falcons 17-13, but all anyone will be talking about is that Graham bent the goalpost. That's something you never see - and possibly never will again.
