NBC4 Detroit inexplicably displayed a picture of embattled New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez next to the caption "Remembering Nelson Mandela" during Thursday's coverage of the passing of the South African icon.
How exactly does this happen? And what possible connection could someone have made between A-Rod and Nelson Mandela to even remotely connect the two together?
Granted that A-Rod's picture was only displayed for a matter of seconds, but that's all it takes for the Internet to immortalize that media goof forever.
