New York Knicks superstar Carmelo Anthony set the team's single-game scoring record with 62 points in a 125-96 blowout victory over the visiting Charlotte Bobcats.
The 62 points also became the most points scored in a single game at Madison Square Garden, breaking the record previously held by Kobe Bryant, who scored 61 points in a game back in February 2008.
Carmelo was taken out of the game immediately after breaking the record with 7:18 remaining in the fourth quarter to cheers from the crowd and congratulations from his Knicks teammates. A great night at the Garden.
