Kentucky Wildcats men's basketball coach John Calipari got away with an unusual (and completely illegal) move by stepping out onto the court and shoving one of his players towards the basket during Tuesday night's game at LSU.
Kentucky guard Andrew Harrison was nonchalantly positioning himself near the sideline during an offensive possession with the ball being handled near half-court. Coach Cal appeared to be a bit upset by the lack of urgency by Harrison, so he took a step onto the court behind Harrison, told him where to go, and then shoved him towards the middle of the court.
Calipari was not called for a violation on the play, though he certainly should have been. How did none of the officials see this happen?
Kentucky never led in the game and ended up losing to LSU 87-82, so we can only imagine what Calipari felt like afterwards.
