New York Knicks guard J.R. Smith took a page from the Harlem Globetrotters playbook during the second quarter of Sunday night's game in Dallas when he untied the shoe of Mavericks forward Shawn Marion as Dirk Nowitzki was preparing to take a free throw.
Smith stood next to Marion on the outside of the key when he bent down and casually pulled the lace of Marion's left shoe, timing it perfectly so that Marion didn't have time to tie it back up before Nowtizki sunk his second free throw.
The Knicks won the game 92-80, but are still near the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings with an 11-22 record. However, J.R. Smith proves here that the Knicks will be willing to try anything to get themselves back on the winning track.
