Brooklyn Nets forwards Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce returned to Boston for the first time since being traded from the Celtics, and were welcomed with open arms.
KG, who played in Boston for 6 seasons, received a video tribute from the Celtics during a timeout late in the first quarter:
Paul "The Truth" Pierce, who played in Boston for 15 seasons, received his video tribute at the end of the first quarter, and you could tell Pierce was truly touched.
The Celtics fans not only cheered during the entire first quarter timeout, but kept chanting Pierce's name during the opening minutes of the second quarter.
