Chicago Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau created his own rumor about a date with Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Kate Upton as a joke response to rumors that he may not be coaching the Bulls after his contract expires at the end of the season.
Rumors began swirling earlier this month after the Bulls traded away Luol Deng, one of Thibodeau's favorite players. Some of those rumors have Thibodeau heading to the Knicks next season.
However, when Thibodeau was confronted with those rumors about his future in a recent press conference, he refused to comment. Thibodeau then followed up with "Now the rumor about my date with Kate Upton, started by me, I’m not commenting on that either", which prompted laughter in the room.
We are about 99.9999999% sure that Thibodeau is NOT dating Upton. All signs point to Upton dating Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander after recent public sightings, but that rumor is not fully confirmed either.
