NBC studio host Bob Costas drowned the misery of a double-eye infection with some vodka on air, and got co-host Mary Carillo to join him, during Monday evening's late night Sochi Winter Olympics coverage.
Although Carillo appeared to have some reservations about doing vodka shots, Costas told Carrillo "My eyes can't get any redder no matter what I do". Carillo then replied "I'll drink to that!"
Afterwards, Costas joked "Tomorrow I'll be lying on a curb in Minsk."
